Sienna Systems (‘Sienna’) is an established SBA Certified 8(a) and VA Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).  We are based in the Washington DC Metro Area.  Since 2011, we have provided Mission-focused application development, data analytics, systems engineering and integration services to the U.S Federal Government.

We are committed to delivering Smart Engineering: our proven ability to implement the right solution for our Clients, efficiently and effectively.  This is achieved through our commitment to quality in the areas of recruiting/staffing, customer service, and project execution.  Our goals are to lower cost, meet customer requirements, and increase successful on-time and on-budget project deliveries.  To achieve successful outcomes the first time and on time, we construct and implement an appropriate balance of Governance, People, Process, and Technology for each particular project and mission in close collaboration with our Clients.  Further, we empower our experienced and engaged project management and technical teams with an emphasis on integrity, transparency, and timeliness.

Our corporate strategy is one that is focused and specialized in all matters relating to HSPD-12, PKI/PIV Integration, IdAM/ICAM, Agile-based application development, data analytics with a focus on Targeting in the context of Counterterrorism.  As a small business in the DC metro area, our strategy hasn’t been merely to cut cost, but to identify our core technical competencies where Sienna is able to compete on ability, talent, expertise and capability to deliver Smart Engineering solutions to our Clients. 

We’re currently engaged in simple and complex application development, COTS integration, systems engineering, and enterprise operations and sustainment, supporting the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, DISA, DMDC, DHS, CBP, and TSA.  For DISA, we’re currently supporting DoD PKI Engineering and O&M contracts.  At the CBP Targeting and Analysis Program Office (TASPO), we’re supporting the next generation Automated Targeting System for Passengers (ATS-P) to target potentially dangerous people as they attempt to enter the U.S.  At the DHS HQ OCIO, we’re supporting the ICAM PMO to build a requirements-driven prototype of an Attribute Federation application based on the Backend Attribute Exchange (BAE) protocol. We are also working with several Federal agencies to support their efforts to comply with HSPD-12/OMB Memo M-11-11, to enhance authentication and authorization capabilities, reduce identify fraud, and improve cybersecurity across the full breadth of the enterprise.

The Sienna Team possesses a deep level of technology expertise and wide breadth of functional capabilities that are complementary to the current trends in the Federal sector in the areas of Counterterrorism, data analytics, HSPD-12 solutions such as PKI/PIV Integration, IdAM, ICAM, Back-end Attribute Exchange (BAE), and ABAC, Collaboration and Knowledge Management, Systems Integration/Automation, IT Ops and DevOps, and Cloud Computing.
